Weekend Warriors @ Mt. Hood Meadows

Ryan Jacobson getting the shot

This past week was a little busy for the people who have work and school. Good thing there is two days out of the week when there is nothing better to do but go snowboarding with friends and have fun all day. Special thanks to Johnny Mitro for riding with us and taking photos all day, Meadows park crew for finally building some fun terrain, and for all of you FunLand fans out there who enjoy snowboarding just as much as we do.

Casey Desmond is good

I firmly believe that you should re-watch the video and check out the section where Casey hikes up that crazy line and hits a double drop and lands going about one hundred mph. I don't know which was gnarlier, the drop or the hike.... either way, mad props. Desmond is crazy.

Funland Premier in B-ham...

So I had a great 3 hour car ride up to Bellingham with my friend Sam for the premier. His car has no sterio because it previously was stolen, so we had to improvise. We getto blasted as i call it the whole way up. when i say getto blasted this is what i mean...
lession one in getto blastin- if you have a ipod you take that siznit out and plug it into whatever head phones you got. Now ipod headphones or ear bud are the best because your homie and you can split the pleasure by just rockin one ear piece. but watch those right turns or takin a drink bc as soon as you tilt ur head one way to much BAM! your head phone be on tha ground cuz it fell out ya ear.
The other way you can getto blast is by takin ur headphones (ours just happen to be skullcandy icons) wrappin um up around that rear view mirror. People always be havin shit that isnt need around there mirrors but this tha first thing ive ever seen thats useful... you just turn ur ish up all tha way and u got yourself getto blaster type numba 2.

So after we getto blasted all tha way up there we met up with Casey and Jen i mean Jens and some friends and got down with some orange soda at a friends house. we played a little fuseball drank more sodas. Then realized we were a little late so the krew started the hike to some place on campus that was a large room. Upon arrival we noticed that the Stevens pass video was playing and enjoyed the last half of that. except this kid that wore clothes way to big for him and wore his pants below his knees...
Then our friend Bart (the guy who organized the premier) came out and made kids that were in college look like monkeys makin um do hand stands and whatever else to get a video of free swag. or ummm stickers.... ya....
So then "What Friends are For" came on and was played there was hooting and hollering from many shred heads that were loving it. People were loving the pow section and there is a reason for that. If you saw it you would understand...Then before you know it, it was over and there were already girls talking to Casey, and Jens. Sean was mia i didnt see him the whole night and kyle was doing some expo in portland probably loving the zumiez section.

After our video the forum video came on and i was like its ok i mean pretty rad what i expected, then Jake Blauvelt's part came on... wow... i mean like his pow shots didnt compare to ours at all but yea.

So the night continued and there were some more sodas drank back at the house, eventually people that were old enough unlike me went down town to pay 5 bucks for a beer. while i drank orange soda that cost me about 50 cents a piece. There was some long boarding to other peoples houses, there were holes hit at 20 miles an hour, going over handle bars on bikes, and swellbows that were discovered in the morning?

overall it was a great trip and then we woke up at 830 and getto blasted our way back to seattle, to get back to Romes Prejibulation and Snoqualmie at 11.

Thank you everyone that came out to the premier, did hand stands, drank soda, and backed the video!
get ur copy now and look forward to next years video it will be better that sliced peaches...
